This is a commission I did for someone I met through a bird forum. The birds are her two pet cockatiels. I was 16 yrs old when I drew this, and the lady who commissioned this, paid me $30 to do it. See! I can do serious art, when I have monetary incentive. The reason there isn't a background, is because she did not ask for one.
Prisma colored pencils on white printer paper.

Okay I just woke up and out of it I have no idead what you're commenting on. Oh wait never mind the bird took me awhile there yeah basically he flew out of his cage since he noticed the back door was open but yeah a car took him away so we buried him. I wasn't even home when that happened. I'm planning to get another bird like it this time it won't fly away.

I love how realistic they look. The texture on the feathers looks so soft. It makes me want to pet the silky feathers 0.0

Ohhhh! Sorry to have confused you, and sorry about your poor birdy. I had one of my males die while he was still raising babies. That was hard. It's a good thing his mate was such a good mommy. She had to raise six little chicks all by herself.

I once had a lutino (white and yellow) cockatiel who lost all his tail feathers in a freak accident involving my then six year old sister, and a baby stroller. The bird was fine, but he looked so funny for the longest time without a tail! It did eventually grow back. :-)

Ahw, thanks! Prisma pencils are the best for blending and creating a realistic texture. They're my weapon of choice. :-)
